Visions du Reel 2024 – The VDR Industry
The 2024 edition of the Swiss documentary film festival Visions du Reel launched 29 projects within its industry section VdR-Industry. The selection of films at various stages of production was based on artistic potential, compelling topics and international appeal. Thirteen films were invited by film professionals to present their projects during the four-day VdR Pitching and VdR Work in Progress forums. Two new cash awards were added this year. The Eurimages Co-production Development Award was awarded to “The Last Days of the Hospital” directed by Mehran Tamadon (My Worst Enemy, Bassidji). The Xe Award and CHF 20,000 cash was awarded to Salvatore of Lucan’s “Life of Tipu” which tells the story of an Irish-Bangladeshi, who finds his father’s discord on Facebook, and embarks on a quest to meet him.
CapLinked virtual data rooms allow users from various countries and time zones to easily share, edit, and store documents. This is particularly useful for industries such as oil and gas, where people are scattered across the globe. Furthermore, a central portal can dramatically cut down on the amount of time and money that needs to be spent physically handling documentation.
When it comes to M&A in the energy sector, a VDR is a non-negotiable tool. It can speed up the process, keep it legal and also makes it easier to securely share information with several parties. CapLinked VDRs are mobile-friendly and come with a fully-branded interface.
